Welcome to our website about screen printing kits.
Here you will find information to help you choose the best
screen printing kits available to fit your needs while finding
the best deal available.
When you are just starting out with screen printing it can
be an information overload trying to figure out and
remember all of the supplies that you will need to
get started. That's where screen printing kits come
in! A lot of dealers of screen printing equipment
offer a large variety of choices for screen printing
kits. They offer everything from small
presses for the beginner to large presses for
the seasoned pro.
When shopping for screen printing kits it is important to
know what you are looking for, as far as size, output
capabilities and what is within your budget. The great
thing about purchasing screen printing kits is that they are
usually very customizable, so you can upgrade certain
components if you want to. The other nice thing about
silk screening kits is that everything you need to get yourself
started is there immediately. Here is a list of what you
can expect when order a screen printing kit:
Press: Depending on what your budget
is, this can be anything from a small scale table top press, a
pro model manual press or even a fully automated press for
individuals and businesses with high output needs. There
are also several options for how many colors and stations are
available.
Chemicals and Ink: Depending on what
sort of screen printing kit you purchase, this can be anywhere
from one color ink or several different colors. They will
always come with the screen emulsion and cleaner/degreaser for
cleaning and reclaiming your screens. Another handy thing
that will usually come with screen printing kits is aerosol
adhesive for holding the garment down that you are printing
on.
Frames: Yet again, how many frames
you receive with your kit will depend on what type of kit you
order. You will generally get one screen per color
arm. I recommend upgrading to aluminum screens because
they are more durable than wooden frames. However, wooden
frames are sturdy and reliable. I just prefer
aluminum.
Exposure Unit: An exposure unit will
not usually be provided with the lowest priced screen printing
kits, but I highly recommend upgrading and getting one.
It's a great investment because it allows you to expose your
screens quickly with the best possible transfer of your
image.
Flash Dryer: A flash dryer allows you
to cure and set your inks after they've been applied to you
garment. This is a must have for printing on dark colored
garments because you will need a base layer of white to ensure
that your colors look vibrant on the finished product. It
can also be used to cure the final print which will make the
garment safe to wash without bleeding.
I hope you found this helpful in making your choice before
purchasing a screen printing kit. Remember, decide what
your needs are and then get the best possible equipment
available within your budget.
